Gez choose the theme of CATS this week. I had nothing, not a stamp nothing. So I found this really nice Alice in Wonderland black & white image which I downloaded and coloured using watercolours. I then just added a line from the book.

This week over at SCD the theme is Houses. So for my take on the theme. I used a Stampin up roller stamp I have had for ages, and simply coloured with Pro-markers.

So this week Laura choose the letter X , this was a struggle as I tried to come up with an idea. In the end I made a easel card, using a Malcolm X quote for Freya to put on her desk, while she does her revision.

So this week over at SCD the theme is the Letter H. For my piece I die cut card using a spellbinder die which I inked and misted. I then distressed and stamped by background which I also die cut. I stamped & coloured my ladies head and over elements and added the quote stamp. This is alot of stamping for me but I really enjoyed making this weeks offering. Infact this whole month has been lots of fun and it has been so good having lots of new people taking part.

So this week at SCD Carol choose them theme which was the letter D. I decided to make a ATC as I have become a convert to these lately. I distressed the background and added stamped image which I have coloured with watercolours I then added the heart wings and key which I punched out and inked. Finally, I added some of my new glimmer mists which were another fabby Birthday present.

We are taking the children to Beamish this weekend, as a final treat for the end of the school holidays, so pray for fine weather. Wishing you all a great weekend.

My Week at SCD

So it is my week over at the SCD Blog. I choose the letter B for the week. It gave me the chance to finish a layout I have had sitting half done for ages !!

The photo was taken by Carol's super talented Sian, This girl has a true gift. The papers are Chatterbox which I got in a kit last year. I'm loving the 'anything go' theme for this month as it has given me the chance to scrap some of my own stuff rather than just page kits for the crops.

Have also been doing a little shopping this week, and found a great new store I have not used before called Frazzled Crafts there website is http://www.wigan-craft-supplies.com/.

They have several items on really good offers including Tim Holtz Ink pads. The customer service is really good and the ladies who run it are really helpful. So pop along and tell them Ang sent you. I not on the payroll just really happy with the service and would like to see a new store do well in this difficult climate.

So this week over at SCD the theme is a little different this month. You can create anything but it must be themed to a letter. This weeks letter is W, so my theme is women.

I've taken a little cute frame which my fab mate carol RAKed to me. I painted it and added a larger chipboard frame which I have painted and stamped. I stamped out three images of women which I layered and embellished with flowers and gems.

I think this month is going to be really fun and I can't wait to see what people produce.

Not sure how or way but I've managed to get myself ahead with the Bramford Crop Kits. So this will be May Kit. I've used some of the new Bo Bunny papers which are really girly and it made a nice change to scrap girls rather than just the boys.

So this is a sneaky peek at the Crop kit I've done for this month. It has not photographed well but I have used some K & Co papers which I really loved, we will also be doing some stamping and masking. Trinchies

So this week over at SCD the theme is twinchies, which are 3 inch squares. This my attempt. I used distress inks on some chipboard, stamped the image of a womens face and them used a text stamp which I embossed. I die cut the heart, wings and crown using my new Timmy die which was a birthday present. I painted the wings and crown with Viva Crocco paint and the heart with distress paint ans stickles. I spray the whole thing with a couple of shades of glimmer mist.

This week the theme at SCD is wings, now I have not done many ATC's but can see how they could be addictive.

So this is our last week of postcards. I have really enjoyed this month, but must admit to finding this week really hard. (thank you carol). A friend has asked me to make some invitations for a childrens party, so decide to combine my postcard with her invites !! The centre is blank as I didn't want to post her childs details . So over at SCD this month the theme is Postcards. I'm really enjoying this month as working on a larger size is more comfortable for me. I have even managed to make cards for the boys teachers, which as you all know, are normally the stuff of my nightmares !!

Life continues in the same mad vain at the moment, so no time for scrapbooking, and I haven't been to a crop this month so missing the girls & the gossip. I'm really going to try and get to the Papermaze crop this month so I can have a catch up.

Month 2 - Week 4 - Stars and Stripes...

So this week over at SCD it's Stars & Strips and this is my take on the theme. I glimmer misted and inked my tag. Cut the stamp shaped mount on the Cricut. Added a vintage image from my stash some lace and a flower. Be sure to drop by the blog and check out the guest DT member.

Week3- Birds

So this week at SCD the theme is birds. This was a real quickie for me using a new owl punch by Martha Stewart & a really old leaf punch which I have had forever. I just inked the owl using cats eyes and a bit of white pen and it was done. I got my punch from Vanessa at papermaze, not sure if they are on the website yet, so you may have to phone the shop.

Stampboard book class

Today I had a great day at the Papermaze shop with carol doing a stampboard book. It was great to have a catch up with girls and we were also joined by a new lady called Lins who brought along some of her work which was just stunning.

If you ever get a chance to get to a Papermaze class I can highly recomend them. I always learn something new, its very informal and really good value for money

Twinchies week 2

So to continue the theme of twinchies for the month of May, this week is a colour challenge at SCD and the colours are Pink & Green.

For my twinchie I went 'Arty Farty' I took some gel medium & mixed with alcohol inks & mica powder. I left to dry(which took hours!!). I added some fibres and a chipboard heart which I sprayed with glimmer mist and then stamped.

To all the ladies who took part last week I just want to say thank you and that I had a blast looking through your blogs I have been really inspired by your fab work.

Something Totally Different is Born !!

So the day is HERE , that the challenge Something Completely Different blog is live.

This month it is 'Twinchies' and the theme for the week is 'Wings'

Now I had not done anything like this before so this is my first attempt.
I painted 2" x 2"stampboard, stamped a background using Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps. The stamped heart is from the Tattoo range from Gel a Tin which I have coloured and the wings are German Scrap.

So on our usual outing to Ally Pally I had been very good (had spent very little) until about 4pm.
Fatal move, watching a LB Crafts Demo !!

I just loved the metal work they were doing so blew my budget out of the water on a load of Ten Second Studio stuff. I saw a arch they had done and came home and had a play. It's not finished yet still trying to decide what to put in the middle.

I've not posted lately as I've been busy doing some DT stuff with Wendy from Papermaze. I will post up just as soon as I can.

I had coffee with Carol earlier this week and got to have a nosy round her craft room. I left totally inspired by her stamping and altered art, so have been having a play. Been on a bit of a spend for some Paper Artsy Stamps, and Carol lent me a fab book which I haven't put down.

While at Carols I picked up the photo that her very talented daughter Sian took of the boys. Anyone who knows my children knows I don't breed angels. So taking them for a photo shot was always going to be trying. Well they were little hells and ran a complete riot.

1st Day Layout

So following another fab day at the Papermaze Crop I completed one layout. We seem to chat so much and I'm such a slow scrapper that I never get much more than one done. I'm doing Wendy's class on Wednesday Evening which I'm really looking forward too. Check out the Papermaze shop , some really cool classes coming up.

It's Ally Pally this weekend which is always fun day out with great mates. As I drive, I'll even give my car it's 6 monthly clean out to mark the occasion. So I'm off to write my wish list for Ally Pally, will post pics of purchases after weekend.

Buffet Breakfast

So Regan decided to help himself to breakfast, so I scooped them up into the box and put them beside the bin and went back up stairs to finish getting dressed. I came back downstairs to find Trevor tucking into the cereal. He informed me that I must be losing the plot as he had found a nearly full box of cereal beside the bin !!

I backed arcylic with Black cardstock, added some Daisy D rub-ons, Prima flowers, Heidi Swapp Mirrored heart and
some florist crystal sprays

Christmas Craft Day

Tina & Lily are holding a Christmas Crafts Day in Bulmer Village Hall on the 8th November. It costs £18 for Adult and £12 for Children (min age 11). There will be the opportunity to make at least 10 cards, a treasure box & gift tags. Light refreshments & free prize games are included. Spaces are limited so you do need to book asap. So I have finally set up a blog. I'm not very IT savvy so I have put the process of for sometime. Finally my good friend Carole has mentioned it once to often, so I have taken the plunge !!

I've not done much scrappin in the last week so this is my most recent layout. Hopefully this week will be better as Regan starts nursery so I have a child free day on Wednesday !!
